Pet Mesh and Velcro
3 Answers
I want to attach some pet mesh to stop the cat from falling out of the window. At the moment I have one window covered and I've used gaffer tape which is effective but unsightly.
If I use heavy duty velcro and then need to remove it,
a) how can I do so?
b) will it damage the window frame?
If anyone knows a supplier of cheap pet mesh i should also be grateful!

I bought a system from lidi once which was velcro which stuck to the window (it was just one side on the velcro the rough side) and then the mesh material itself stuck to the velcro but the mesh was thin and easily damaged so when I had to open and close the window and pull the fabric mesh on and off the velcro it kept damaging the meshes structure creating huge holes. Also I found a lot of glues would mark the pvc window frame
so only options would be
-get your own mesh which is strong enough for your needs buy a load of velcro so you can go all the way round each panel and attach the velcro to the window with special sticky tabs you can get in stationary shops...you can stick phones to the walls with these type on tabs so they are strong
My long term 'anti midge' plan is to make full sized fly screens of plastic trim with mesh stretched over they will be panels which slide on a runners on the window sill.
