Hi aweek or so ago I was on here telling you AB's about my 11 year old boxer Bella and ACV, she was put on antibiotics and a paste like substance to help with the diarrohea she had, well that all cleared up by Tuesday just gone and things were really looking up she was even chasing balls again. Today she was playing and realy happy, then we took her for a walk about 5pm and she collapsed, we carried her back home and took her directly to the vets. She has got fluid around the lungs which inturn is putting presure on her dear kind heart. She has a thyroid problem as well which she has been receiving medication for over the last 3 years. She is being kept at the vets on a drip to try and drain the fluid. They have said the next 24hrs is critical. It was and is so hard, we have to give her a chance, the vet has said she is not in pain but is in discomfort not being able to get her breath. When in this situation do you say enough is enough.WHF

They are hoping to get her on to tablet form of the Frusemide so she can come home to us tomorrow. She will have to stay on all her med's but aslong as she is comfortable then she can live a nice peacefull quiet life with us. The vet has said we will not be looking at years with her but there will be some good times a head, that is all we can hope for. Thankyou all for your kind remarks and thought's, thankyou. Hello WHF. My final dog was a boxer that I rescued and I was aware that the breed suffers from 2 main health issues - heart and growths in the mouth. Millie suffered from the latter and eventually I lost her to a brain tumour. I wish Bella the very best for a good prognosis. A previous dog of mine had heart trouble and the vet advised me to give him a heart medication daily. I wasn't sure about it at first but I trusted the vet implicitly. The daily millophylene worked wonders and gave my pet another 2 years of good quality life. Fingers crossed for her x
Hi Bella is home, very subdude and very sleepy, but it has not been long since she was taken bad, hopefully with a few more days of med's in her she will perk up. She has to have 7 tab's in the morning and 5 in the evening, so I will hear her coming as she will rattle, but we are so happy to have her home. Her heart medication is Vetmedin 10mg morning, and she has been taken off the carprogesic pain relief and put on Tramadol 150 mg in the morning and the same in the evening, Frusemide is 100mg in the morning and 100mg evening, all seems so much but if it gives her some good quality time with us I am sure we will not complain. Thankyou all WHF
