Nails in head

Why does my new kitten use my head as a pin cusion? Because of the snow last night I let the dog sleep in the drawing room so I took the cat up to bed with me. It was fine until about 5am when he got his sharp bits out.

Life with a cat is pretty much always living with some sort of scratch or scrape...........
You can.... I never taught No 1 Son not to use his claws when patting people, I now see the error of my ways....
I identify with this poem:
In Bed
Discontinuous we lie
with an old cat asleep
between our backs
where jealous children
used to squirm
wedged in between us
We grow old, you and I,
to be so equable, lying
back to cat and cat to back.

My little monster never comes on the bed-but he shouts at the door. What he does do-is sit behind me here when I am on the PC-gets on his hind legs with paws on my shoulders...and paddles. Then he starts to chew on both my hair, and whatever I am wearing. I get scratches through several layers of wooly clothing..... :-(
I have Frankie clinging onto a radiator (and cooking slowly) up in my bedroom and his sister trying to get on my nerves by running around going "eek".
Spikey - when my parents died I was upset both times - when my dogs died I was inconsolable. The same thing happened when my last cat died. I find humans confusing - you know where you are with a cat or dog.

my youngest has her own pillow in between me and mr kicker...and expects kisses, cuddles and smoothings for some time before dropping off to sleep. at least i no longer have to say i have a headache! she remains put all night and mashes with her pointy bits on whatever part of mr kicker is available. he complains in his sleep and me and nibbles have a good laugh at his expense. the other two find the most inconvenient spot on the bed and we usually sleep in a contorted fashion. they are better than hot water bottles! x
