My two old boys Puss and Boots both died, Puss 4 years ago and Boots 15 months ago. I always wanted another cat but couldn't make my mind up because I was so devastated when I lost them and didn't feel I could go through it again. Anyway yesterday Nero and Cleo entered my life. Nero is 10 yo and Cleo is 12 months old, they were rescued after wandering the streets thin, hungry and very bedraggled. Thanks to Blackpool Cats In Care they are now fit and well. Nero is a friendly boy, he has settled down in just 1 day, Cleo is still hiding under the bed, she came out for some food then dashed straight back.

Well done on making your mind up and taking in these lucky puss cats. While they'll never replace your old boys they'll worm their way into your heart anyway. Have lots of fun!
How lovely. They will be great company.
That is good, life is a bit boring without a cat annoying you every ten seconds. I hope they settle in - are you going to be letting them out?

Best wishes to all of you.
Puss, I am so pleased for you. I can't imagine life without a cat these days, my only times without at least one have always felt as if there is something missing. I've never forgotten previous cats, but every one brings you something new. Well done to you both for taking in rescue moggies - I am sure they will have a lovely time with you. Don't worry about the little 'un, she'll soon come round!
Awwww. welcome to nero and cleo. Cleo will come out in time. Congratulations on your new fur babies. x

wol63, they need to stay in for at least 2 weeks, Nero is obviously very streetwise he sits at the patio doors making noises at the birds, but he doesn't know the area, we have an enclosed garden but cats can jump fences. Cleo has emerged and now behind the sofa. It's such a shame, Nicola at the rescue centre says they have never had so many cats.

pastafreak, I know it's taken a while, I think I always knew that eventually I would have another cat, but now is the right time and I feel I have found the right cats.
They are beautiful looking cats. I hope that they settle on and are content to stay in the garden or the area surrounding your garden.
our hearts were broken when our 2 boys died and we never planned to set ourselves up for such heartache again. but a neighbourhood waif has made it impossible for us to ignore her,and she has entered into, and taken over the house :-) some cats just find the homes they were meant to have!
forgot to say,all hugs to you pussnboots, xx
good for you and lucky them, they're both gorgeous !!
Oh how lovely....congrats on your new owners! Cleo is a very pretty girly, have fun with them.

How lovely. I wish I had the guts to get another as I really miss ours. He was so gentle and I know they are all like that. Perhaps when I retire in a couple of years I might consider it. You must put on a photo soon and give them lots of cuddles from me please ♥
