We Seem To Have Acquired A Lynx!
23 Answers
Greetings each.
I think I have a Lynx!
He's been coming around for about a week now, usually in the evening, but now seems to have taken up residence here.
I took a couple of pix of the thing and sent them to friends. One of them now informs me that I have a Lynx (or crossbreed of one) on my hands. :-o
I checked on Wikipedia and all the signs are there.
He's very lovable and affectionate though now he has settled in. As long as
I keep feeding him I trust he will remain that way! LOL.
Does anyone know anything about these creatures, or have any experience of them in a domestic situation please?
He's currently costing me a small fortune in cat food, although my other two moglets seem OK with him.
Be good!
Cheers.

See what I did there? Okay, here's Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx
" They also feed on a wide range of animals, from white-tailed deer, reindeer, roe deer, small red deer, and chamois, to smaller, more usual prey: snowshoe hares, fish, foxes, sheep, squirrels, mice, turkeys and other birds, and goats. They also eat ptarmigan, voles and grouse."
So feed it Rudolph

Personally speaking I think a lynx would be easier!

Greetings each.
I thank you all for your contribitions.
After considering your replies, and speaking with the Maine Coon Society of Great Britain, I am happy to conclude that I DON'T have a Lynx.
I intend to keep my new-found monster friend as he is so loving and affectionate and also gets on well with my existing two "house" cats: Well he would anyway as he is the same size as the two of them put together!
Thanks to you all.
Stay good!
Cheers.

Ahhh bless you squidgelet :-)
Now see i did my research before buying my MC, "friendly, and affectionate" I read with glee. "yay" thought I, " a big giant ball of fur to sit on my knee and contentedly purr". Sadly, I got an evil spawn of Satan who only deigns to sit on my knee for a minute a day tops, and tolerates me stroking her until she's bored- then she bites me....
Enjoy yours, you lucky bugger, lol.
