Well, Smokes just been for his teeth cleaning & he got a free pedicure thrown in. Vet said he might be a little hungry so just give him half his normal amount of food. Twenty minutes & two scraped clean bowls later he was still wanting more. And he's brought in a mouse- so much for the anaesthetic knocking him for for six.

Mine are always hungry when they come back from the vet
Same thing with our cats, anytime they have had to be sedated for anything at the vet (forever known in our house as the "tooth fairy"), despite being told to give them a light diet and not a lot of that, they will have none of it, they want their normal food and plenty of it. Notwithstanding that we're also told that they'll be a bit quiet and not their usual wee selves - yeah right! Within minutes of arriving home they've demolished plates of food and then proceed to bounce all over the house!

So they've got the vets fooled not to mention the guilt trip because you can't feed them for hours beforehand .
