Hiya.. We have two 9 year old cats.. brother and sister.. both had recent yearly checkups a the vets.. had boosters... teeth checked... everything is fine!... recently.. last 2 weeks ish.. my boy has been really fussy about his food.. we've changed the make. flavours.. etc.. but he only seems to want it.. if I sit on the floor with him.. and encouage him by stroking him while he eats.. but he's shaking like a leaf while he's eating.. he's not normally disturbed..or rushed while he eats... they are rather pampered if I'm honest... but this shaking is worrying me!.. anyone get any idea's why this should be happening.. other than that he's fine.. happy healthy.. looks fit..purrrrrring..playing!.. Thanks in advance!. Mrs C x

No idea, sorry, but I'd consult your vet, just to be on the safe side. Are you sure the shaking's not a repressed purr because you are stroking him?
... and btw I wouldn't encourage this behaviour, you are making a rod for your own back - he WILL eat when he's hungry, if there is nothing physically the matter with him.
have you had his teeth/gums checked recently? otherwise, is there any possibility the sister has beaten him up or he has had a real fright when he's been eating? - strange cat in the neighbourhood perhaps - has anything at all changed apros his feeding routine, utensils, brand of food, what he's fed in etc - cats are very sensitive to change and upset - in the absence of anything you can pinpoint then a definite trip to the vet is called for. Why aren't all cat owners (sorry cat staff) as caring as you!
