Cat Pulling Fur Out..

so Colin, my big long-haired tabby cat.

at about this time every year he over-grooms and pulls out fur in small patches around his lower back area. he doesn't seem to be itching, he's not scratching, he's not stressed, he doesn't have fleas, he's otherwise fine.. but he does this in the same area, just around this time of year. it will re-grow and remain untouched.. until next winter. any ideas, please?

Maybe spores of fungai in the air, speak to your vets, mine did the same, she was put on 1 mg steroid, (prednisolone), for 10 days, it worked,

You could try piriton syrup, 2.5 tea spoon twice a day, but talk to your vet first, piriton is fine for cats,
