Metacam Dosage

It's been a good 12 years since I needed to give my Lab Toby, this wonder drug.

He is 32 kg/70lbs. Am I right in thinking the dose should be 7 - 10mls using the syringe?

Hi Chrissa, Tilly has Metacam every day.

She weighs 17KG and has a 10ml dosage using the syringe. This is a maintenance dosage for her. If I were you, I would ring the vet and ask what the dosage should be for Toby, given that he is a bigish dog.

Yes, Chrissa, please do check. I'd hate you to give him the wrong dosage based on what I've said. As you know, Metacam is potent stuff.

Agree the dose you mention seems too small for me, but you need to ask a vet.
