There are plenty of bugs circulating the human population this time of year though, so the chances are your illness is unrelated to your pets.
If your dog is ill you should take him to the vet to make sure it's nothing serious!

Hi again Noweia, well have been to vets and he has now given me some more antibiotics and another tube, with kaolin in. He thinks she may have picked up a virus and because she has been so poorly the last two weeks with it she has lost the "good" germs in her tummy. so now these new tablets will correct it.We hope. if not better by early next week they are going to take some blood to make sure it isnt her liver or kidneys. Hi Nowiea I thought you might like an update on Amber. She had to go back to the vets last week and have blood tests.. (She was then also passing blood when she went to the loo.by this time and her upset tummy had come back.)Then she started to have a discharge which at first I thought she was coming into season but nothing happened and it was getting worse.Anyway the test results came back and she has Hepititis and low blood count. So she has now been put on some tablets to help her liver and anitbiotics for the infection to do with the discharge. Fingers crossed now she seems to be improving every day.
