thanks. we caught him eating some plants, think this may be the cause. am i sopose to starve him in the meantime? no vets open till monday?
Vets must provide a 24hr service - if not directly by themselves, by a dedicated emergency clinic. Phone the usual number and you will get instructions on how to contact a vet

thanks for that. just spoke to vet, I have to starve him for 12 hours, then slowly introduce either boiled chicken, fish or scrambled egg.
Some plants are toxic to dogs and this could have caused the diarrhoea. Or, your pup could have been feeling ill and that might have made him eat the vegetation.

Do you know what plants he was eating?
Make sure he had access to water, as pups can dehydrate very easily.

Charlie was eating the leaves from an oriental lilly plant. He eats or chews anything he can get his teeth into. He.s a little bugar!!!
All lillies are dangerous and can cause vomitting and nausea, but the oriental lily is especially poisonous to cats, and even if you have them in a vase, you should take care that they do not brush against them, as the pollen dust rubs off on them and then they lick it and ingest it. Can be fatal to cats.
Eating the leaves of an oriental lily may have been the cause of your pet's vomiting - as lankeela says, they are toxic to pets.
yes agree with all the above, but for occasional tummy bugs could try acidophulus tablets, or protect from stock nutrition.
