Kitten is scratching itself

My 4 month old kitten, scratches herself (usually around neck). It is not fleas or ticks, have used Frontline and daily check with flea comb. Vet has said that as she will not be going outside, it is unlikely she will get them. It isn't something she does a lot of, but when she does scratch it goes on for a few minutes. Could she find her little bell collar and irritation?

It may be eczema, one of my cats gets it on her legs, its triggered by an allergy to flea saliva. So she may not have fleas, but just one bite could set it off.
I dont know how old they have to be, but mine has a steroid injection every few months, its probably worth talking to your vet about it.

Dry skin a possibility ? it is cooler outside now and the air is alot drier. try a humidifier. also brush her often this helps bring the moisture out.

Well what a turn up for the books! Kitty started acting oddly (more than usual lol), and when I phoned the vets was told she had come into season!! Advised to wait until she was between "times" in order to book for her to be spayed. Luckily she was only like this for a few days, so have an op scheduled for this Wed. Seems to have stopped the scratching at present, but will keep my eye on her and if it starts again, mention this at the vets.
I have to brush her daily as she has long fur, she doesn't mind her back being groomed, but takes exception to her hind legs!

Oops, wasn't saying guys relating to the gender, but as in the American term often used now referring to a group of people, whatever sex, creed or colour!!
