I know that medicines that can only be got on prescription (for humans and animals) have the letters 'POM' on the packaging (prescription only medicine) but what do the letters 'PML' stand for on some animal medications?
The Pharmacy & Merchant's List (PML) means that those animal medicines can be sold by outlets other than vets, such as horse supplies and pet shops (e.g. wormers, flea treatments etc).
