Sure... being raised in the ranching country of the western U.S., my first horse at age 5 was a smallish Welsh pony. My father wouldn't let us ride with saddles since he believed it was safer to fall off than be drug by the foot entangled in a stirrup. We rode bareback for several years, finally owning my first saddle, made by the H.H. Heiser company (and a fine saddle it was) at age 12. But, bareback was the only way to go and we spent many days in the back country galloping at breakneck speed chasing imaginary bad guys...
Hi, just wondering how may times you are going to ask this question? This appears to be the third time.
and I think you are nuts to even consider it - why are you asking as a matter of interest?

I was just wondering because a friend of mine says that she can but she hasn't ridden much even with a saddle. I thought she might of been lying so I was just wondering. I'm certainly not going to do it. I have only just had my first trotting expirence. I just want to stick to being in the saddle.
she is probably exaggerating, just a little, my friend would do it, but she grew up on horses, and she would have to know the horse very well........ keep on with your trotting......using the saddle with your feet in the stirrups.
