Hi animal lovers! this isnt a question!!! We.ve had to take our 4 month old cavalier king charles to the vet twice today as he.s been vomiting since lastnight. The 2 valuable lessons we.ve learnt is A: Dont give your pup a spare rib bone (From chinese takeaway) B: Make sure you have pet insurance!!!
The vet bill so far is 124.27 we have to take him back in the morning as there is still a piece of bone in his lower bowel!!! P.S We now have pet insurance! (too late to pay this bill)
oh, im so sorry for your pup. please go back to animals and nature 11.1.07 to raisins [lankeela] and robotics they pass on some very good info on what your dog can eat and what they are alergic to i hope he is soon well and healthy...good luck
oh dear, hard lesson to learn, hope he is ok. You may find this interesting from a friend who always fed her dogs raw chicken wings, which are supposed to be ok, although I wouldnt give them mine http://www.collienet.com/health%20topics/bones %20and%20dogs.htm
Thankyou for your responses!. We just hoping and praying that he poohs out that last piece of bone, although not sure how this is possible as he hasn,t eaten since 9pm sunday! (under vets instruction) surely there cant be any pooh left in him.
thanks for vauable information, i.ve learnt a lot, and will be very carefulin the future x
hi,
cooked bones are a non no but ive heard that aslong as they are raw, then they will not splinter and damage your dog/cat. though make sur the raw meat has been frozen first to kill any harmful parasites!
