Despite brushing our Ragdoll cat, she has several clumps of fur that are stuck together and won't budge. Any tips to remove these?

Thank you. I'll pass on this info to my wife, who asked me to post this.
i have maine ***** with long coats and they do get the odd knot. what i do is use thinning scissors and johnsons talc. by using the scissors you can cut part of the mat and it will then easily comb out. i use the talc as it cleans the coat and makes knots easier to get out. my mum used it on her persians its great.
sorry for some reason it wont let me put the full name of breed i have
that is because it is considered to be a swear word. The word ***** is a BAD word!
