Getting a kitten, should I get him chipped?
Getting a kitten next week, have had cats previously and never had them chipped. (don't think they chipped pets then!!). I don't know whether to get him chipped? Does anyone know how much it costs? Thanks for your help

I would personally always advocate getting any pet chipped, it is relatively cheap (about 20-30) and for that you are safe in the knowledge that if he goes wandering he is much more likely to be found. This is perhaps especially true with cats as some owners don't put a collar on their cat in case they get trapped or attached to something.
I am not a cat expert, never had one, but I just think the chips are a great idea!

Hi I would definitely say have your kitten chipped. Mine only cost 16 as I had him neutered at the same time but even if it cost more I would say it is worth it as if your cat goes missing or is run over the first thing anyone does to identify it is to check for a microchip. If you don't have it done and your cat goes missing and someone elsefinds it either dead or alive and it has no chip they will have no way of identifying it
