Dog Grooming Comb
6 Answers
I have a Bedlington Terrier and she can get quite matted. I think there is a comb you can use with small blades in (not to cut the fur) to loosen the knots and make combing more pleasant.
I have looked on e bay but can only find evil combs with huge blades on and I wouldn't be happy using these - nor would Pickles!!
Anyone know what I mean please?!

Sally hi there...My next door N has a bedlington and they have her cut in [ short lamb cut ] at the dog grooming salon in between they brush her with a paddle brush and manage her coat without any problems the brush is very wide infact she got it from Avon so if you no of anybody who sells Avon you could look at their products, hope this is of ome help..Good luck.
You should use a slicker brush which has wire pins slanted so they go through the coat and don't dig into the skin. This can be used between grooming sessions and you can use it to remove any loose fur or any matted bits either on the body or on the feathering on the legs, ears etc if done gently.
Regular use will stop the mats from becoming a problem.
