What kind of dog is the dog in the Caesar dog food adverts?
And..one for the boys, if you were a man, would you be comfortable walking one? I think they're nice dogs but my bf has reservations.

My dog is a West Highland Terrier, identical to the one on the advert.
My Husband felt the same before we got our dog and now he absolutely dotes on her. He has no problems walking her. He thinks she is the so beautiful. There again, we think all dogs are beautiful, it is just that Westies are a small breed.

Hi again.
Depends on the way you get the dog cut at the Groomers. Most peopel favour the long hair on the muzzle.
I keep my dog cut short in the summer so that she is comfortable.
As for walking, our dog will walk as far as we are prepared to take her. She just loves off the lead in the park and runs like the wind until she gets tired. She is 18 months so still acts like a puppy but great fun.
Were you thinking of getting one?
Just to say my last Westie did not like too much exercise. He was a lazier dog than the one we have now.

Hi West Highland Whites are terriers, dont forget that. Terriers can be really difficult dogs to train, they were originally bred to chase and kill vermin so are gutsy little dogs. I have met sooo many aggressive Westies when people havent given them sufficient training, the Westies I have met that have had sufficient training and exercise have been lovely little dogs.
Westies can suffer terribly with skin conditions, so if you get one, please get one from a reputable breeder, as a lot of the problems are hereditary, and as they are a popular breed, the puppy farmers always tend to have them. Make sure the breeder's older dogs have no problems. Go to the champdogs website for details of breeders in your area and have a read of several websites before you think about getting one. Also be careful if you buy one from someone who has just bred from their pet bitch as they may not have the knowledge of the dogs in the background. Go for a breeder who has several generations that they are proud to show you.

I wouldn't have a problem walking any dog - my sense of self is not rooted in the kind of dog I won.
As an aside - my friend who is Ass. Editor of a drummer magazine wants to have a pug as a pet, and because it has a pushed-in face, she wants to call it ...
(Iron Maiden fans will smile, everyone else will be baffled - sorry!) ...
Nicko!
