Fleas
Ok, I wasn't sure which topic to post this under but I've just moved into a new house and I think it has fleas from the previous owner's dog as I have acquired several bites in my first few days!
How on earth do I get rid of them and does anyone know if I can complain to my solicitor and get the previous owners to cough up if getting rid of them is expensive?
Thanks in advance.

You dont need to go to the vet for spray. All pet shop sell it.
Im not convinced by the source though. Fleas need a host and food, so they die when the animal is removed. Unless youve moved into a fully furnished house (throw out the mattresses if you have) your houseguests are most likely in the carpet. Vacuum and clean well and lift the edges of carpets if you think there is a nest.
You certainly dont have any redress through the law. Think of them as a fixture and fitting!
