Sorry Kita link is not working but I found a behavouir site that explains a lot I had introduced some meat to her diet which I think has caused the problem as it is not totally digested so I have put her back on dry feed again as according to the article this is more thoroughly digested
Sorry but you probably do not want to hear this but

One of my girls would always 'recycle' her and our others dog poo if done in the garden. When out for a walk she wasn't bothered and would leave hers and any others alone.

The only way we could manage this was to try and ensure that she didn't do much in the garden, when she was stop her from 'cleaning up' and accept we didn't want to do much tongue kissing with her.

I am sure it was not good for her but, she lived until nearly 14.

she didn't eat the last one I covered it with mustard powder and balsamic vinegar

found this site that is very good

i heard that if you put pineapple juice in their food they will not eat their poo cos the pineapple does something that makes the poo unbearable for dogs to eat. better check its alright for puppies though, i have a 15 week old springer spaniel puppy so i have been researching online and have read this alot.
I know what you mean about the tongue kissing, my 11 month old border collie bitch is in season at the moment and she spends half her life licking the business end of things. As a result I am inclined to eschew her tongue-filled moments of adoration!!!
Yvonne, you won't want to hear this, either, but my 8 year-old GSD bitch has done that all her life! I've tried various "cures", but none have worked. Oddly, none of my male dogs have ever done it. It's called copraphagia (sp?) if you want the medical term for it! I wonder if it's something peculiar to bitches, perhaps harking back to their wild roots, when they cleaned up after their pups, to stop predators finding them? I haven't a clue, but any thoughts would be welcomed by me, too. K

We have had 1 day of leaving it alone since leaving meat out of her diet and feeding her just dry food She has just done one on the garden without us seeing her and it is in tact so hopefully we are winning.
