my puppy wont eat or drink please help asap

my puppy is a miniture chuawa he is like 3 months old i got him a month ago he is useually a happy hyper perky puppy and he loves me and my wife a lot but about two days ago he got sick and was throwing up all day today he wouldent eat or drink anythink we tried milk hard food human food and his favorite soft puppy food but he wont touch it i am scared and dont want him to die because my wife loves and adores him but i have absolutely no money i mean i cant even buy a stick of gum and i cant take him to the vet any suggestions?

You have a pretty big problem on your hands.
Vomiting and anorexia can be caused by any number of things. Your big concerns are that he ate something and it is stuck inside of him, this would need surgery and he won't get better without it unless you are very very lucky.
Second on my list of things I would be worried about would be Parvovirus which is an infectious disease of puppies. This can cause vomiting, but would most likely cause diarrhea. These pups will dehydrate really quickly and that is not good.
There is the possibility of poison or toxic plants in which case he may recover spontaneously overnight or tomorrow.
It is a difficult call: if he were mine, I would check his hydration status ( pull gently up on the skin at the back of the neck and let go- count how long it takes to go back to normal. Longer than 2 seconds is dehydration) and start syringing water into his mouth.
If he hasn't eaten/ drank by tomorrow then he isn't likely to, and he needs a vet. There are sometimes purebred rescue societies that will help him out, or you may be able to surrender him to a local shelter and they will help him out. Good Luck- next time don't get a dog unless you can afford emergencies.

Try the PDSA or if you don't live in the UK ask your vet if you can pay in installments, most vets won't turn a sick puppy away. This is too long for a puppy to go without food he should be having 4 meals a day. Get him to a vet ASAP or you will lose him!!!!

This breed is susceptible to a condition called hypoglycaemia and they need to be fed very small amounts several times a day, or their blood sugar levels drop drastically. I will try to find a link for you and post it.

Seems even if this is not the problem, the sickness can cause it, so you need to read this and try to get help. Try going back to the breeder who should want to do all they can to help the puppy. Explain your circumstances, this is no time for being embarrassed, just get the help you need.

my mom is taking us to the vet today to see what is going on whith him she is going to pay it and on the first we are going to pay it back thank you for your suggetions i will let you know how it goes

i took him to the vet and he got hooked up to ivs and got shots but he still died

I'm so sorry to read your last post, stephienmatt, you'll both be feeling pretty gutted right now, it's heartbreaking to lose them at any age.

Did your vet give you any idea what might have been the cause ?? it sounds a bit like a blockage of some sort, trouble is, you never know what they might get hold of and swallow.

the cause of death was parvovirus it is a dog disease that only attacks puppies and my puppy cought it we both are very sad about it he was llike our own child you know but he is in a better place and no longer has to suffer

This may not be the case with your puppy at all, but when one of mine was young, she swallowed some stones and displayed the same symptoms as yours. She ended up having a very expensive operation (twice!) to remove them. Then it happened for a third time, and as the vet was doubtful whether he could take away any more of her intestine, we had just a few hours to decide whether to take her in or try an old remedy which someone suggested. This was to fill a 5ml syringe with milk (a third of it being olive oil). After just two doses (4 hours apart), the stones passed through naturally, and our puppy was soon bounding round happily. It saved her having to undergo another operation - and WE saved over �800.
