Dog with injured paw
Yesterday morning i noticed a small open wound on the top side of my dogs paw, 9if he were human we would say it was on the back of his hand!)
It is less than a cm in length but looks quite deep. I haven't een any blood though. He was constantly licking it.
last night i managed to tie a sock round it.
This morning we noticed something sticking out of it, so we removed it. it was some sort of 'foliage', and again no bleeding.
My question is - I was all ready to take him to the vets today but now that what ever had caused the injury has come out and he's not licking it half as much, should I still take him? He doesn't like travelling as he gets car-sick and it streses him out, and I don't want to put him through any unnecessary upset?
Thanks x
