fleas on my springer

Took dog to vet last tues and put on frontline,also acclaim spray for house. One week later he still has fleas and my children are being bitten.Is this usual or should they have gone by now? Thanks

Something wrong somewhere. Frontline should have seen off the fleas by now.
I hesitate to suggest it but could your children have fleas (or something) and not the dog.
Check back with the vet.

Did they use Frontline spray or spot on? The spot on stops any more from hatching but does not always kill the fleas on the animal, whereas the spray kills them all within hours.

Ask you vet what was used and ask for Frontline spray.
