I very occasionally walk my Borderline Collie on a Flexi lead (on the common only, not along the road) as he has a tendency to disappear into the woods and with this spate of dog thefts you can't be too careful, anyway today I managed to drop the lead in a deep sandy puddle, consequently it now won't work, any ideas if it will be ok once it dries out (though I doubt it) or can they be repaired? or will I have to go out this afternoon and buy another one? Thanks.

If it was a sandy puddle the sand might have got into the workings,I would be inclined to replace it Illyria. If the old one does dry out and can be used , it could be handy as a spare.g.

A Borderline Collie is a Border Collie but not quite, he is Border Collie with a hint of Fox Terror (not a miss spelling I assure you!).

I have just had a look at the lead and you can hear the sand inside so I will have to raid my piggy bank I think.
