I got my cat a kitten as she drove me mad following me around meowing all the time. As soon as I brought the kitten home she mothered it and stopped meowing - she just wanted attention
My lot meow a lot, too - it's their way of communicating with us. They have different meows for different things - food, want to go out, want to come in, play, getting annoyed with the dog, etc!!
My deaf Caspar doesn't meow....he shouts incessantly....really like a baby. I can tiptoe out of the room when he issleeping...and within a few seconds he isWAILING....IT IS DRIVING ME MAD AT THE MOMENT..he really needs a companion.
