Please help me if you can. Thank you in advance!
My dog has small raised brown spots at the base of her tail.
She has lost a lot of fur there too.
Help.

I've answered on your thread in environment, but in this thread you say that your dog is a bitch?!!?
Bit confused now.
Is she scratching or itchy? It could be a flea allergy (even if you can't see any fleas or have never had a problem with them before). Do you use any flea treatment?
Does it not sound a bit more like ticks, ive never seen them so its just a guess
Sounds like she is nibbling her tail as she may have a mite infection or mange. The vet will confirm and/or prescribe ointment/injections to clear up the problem.

Ticks are visible as they swell. They must be removed quickly (with tweezers) before they lay eggs and infest the dog. After removal apply vinegar to the wound.
