Why you want one of those unfortunate brutes is beyond me, but if you contact http://www.bulldogrescue.co.uk/ to find out your nearest contact they may be able to help you. Also google for your nearest bulldog club/society, they may be able to find one that has a flaw for showing so will go cheap.

Please make sure you have enough finance or insurance to cover vet bills. Taking on a dog is a large commitment.

Thanks for that they are gorgouse dogs, yes i have tried all bulldog rescues etc. Thanks for the advise ref insurance i am well aware of how much dogs can cost as i have a french mastiff already and he has cost us a arm and a leg so far
The reason they are so expensive is that they are difficult to breed, often needing a C-Section to give birth. I know of someone who mated their beloved pet bitch recently, had to have a C-Section, lost all the puppies and also their bitch.
They thought it was going to be a money making exercise.

Awww...that's terrible lankeela. I think bulldogs are beautiful animals, but it's common to pay between 2000-5000 for one. Occasionally, you'll see one advertised very cheaply, but the dogs are either old, ill or have something else wrong with them, so I'd steer clear. A bulldog rescue centre's perhaps the best place to try, but be prepared to fork out for vet's fees. These dogs have health problems, not least in that their breathing can be impaired from the way they're bred, but if you just want one as a much-loved pet, I think they're gorgeous. x

yes i understand that they take a lot of work and all the scams out there it is like gold dust looking for one in rescue centre though

Don't usually recommend this site but some of these are rescues they start about 100:

Sorry but this really gets my back up There is no such thing as an 'old tyme bulldog' 'victorian bulldog' or any of the other made up names for MONGRELS which is what they are. Crossbred dogs which the owners try to pass off as a proper breeds. Most of them are staffy crosses, or even worse, pitbull crosses, often crossed with boxers, which they try to disguise because people want bulldogs but won't pay the proper price.

If I really wanted a bulldog I would save up till I could afford a decent one.

You should be gratefull that theee are people like me out there that are willing to give bulldogs a new home, if it wasnt for people like me all these rescues bulldogs would be put down, so get off your high horse
Question Author
you shold be gratefull that there are people like me that are willing to take on Bulldogs that people dont want anymore, cuz if there wasnt then they would end up in rescue homes and be put to sleep, so get off your high horse, i am not asking for a free one, all i asked is for some advise and i notice all you people that make nasty comments dont reply
I find it quite alarming that you wouldnt consider an American bulldog to the point where I cant help thinking you are racist towards Americans.

Youve been Hitlered
Question Author
i would consider a american bulldog, but prefer the look of british ones
racial descrimination
Question Author
grow up
grow up? size descrimination too! omg you really are shallow
Question Author
Kita thanks for that, yes i am really after a british bulldog as they tend to be healtier and get on better with children, alot of ads on that Epupz are scams like everywhere, unfortunalty
would you buy it if its religion stated it had to wear a full body shrouwd?
I was not being nasty, just pointing out a fact. I have also replied on your other thread, but if you think that is being nasty too, then I cannot help you any more.
Question Author
