Microchip Movement
I recently had my kitten microchipped and have noticed that the chip has migrated to halfway down the side of her neck. Will this cause any problems?

We mentioned it to the vet when he had his six month check and she said not to worry about it, but just to keep an eye on it for a month or two to make sure that it has stopped moving (which it has)
Can I suggest that you check with the vet to be on the safe side but it shouldn't be a problem provided that the chip has stopped moving

yup, same here...there is no sign of it in one dog but on the other when you stroke (if you know where to feel) you can feel the rice shaped thing. Vet scanned it and confirmed that it was the chip. That was nearly two months ago, he has put on a bit of body since then and it is less noticeable.
We were warned NOT to try and find the chip when the animal was newly done as it takes a while for the tissue to anchor it in place and if you fiddle with the site it can predispose the chip to move...we didn't fiddle, its one of those things...
