ok, it's really nice to have a very cute dog, but since he so cute, we're to lenient on him, and in return he sometimes doesn't follow directions. He just looks so so cute! there is a picture enclosed of him looking cute.

Ha even without the picture I know what you mean! My pup isnt allowed on the sofa but when he sits at your feet looking up with his big brown eyesits hard not to give in!
Seriously though in the long run a well trained dog will be a happier dog because you can take him anywhere and trust him to do as he's told.
So be strong!!

Once he get's it into his head that he can get away with anything by looking cute, you'll have a problem and so will he.There'll come a time when he goes too far.When that happens and you get angry with him or shout at him he'll be a very confused and unhappy dog.You have to be firm but kind with him. Say 'no' and mean it. Stop him instantly from doing anything he shouldn't before he does it or continues! If he demands attention all the time, or when you don't want to be pestered, ignore him.Repeat commands until he follows, then act pleased and reward him.Remember that underneath he still has the needs and thinking of his ancestors in the wild: they all have a strict code and social order and he'd be at the bottom of the order ! You are at the top, and he's happiest knowing that you are, just as he would know who is top dog in the pack.

my pup turned 1 yrs old on saturday and has me and my partner wrapped around his little finger (paw).

he almost made me late for work this morning because he was moping about with his tale between his legs and his ears down for no reason. i was tempted to bring him to work with me.

i know, it's so hard! Such cute brown eyes, soft white fur............it's so hard to be hard on him!
