pro's and cons to spaing a cat i adopted

besides the obvious like getting pregnant as this queen was almst eaten alive by coyotees ( my dogs saved her by running them off ) are spayed cats better behaved or have less health problems . i took her to the vet to see if she was spayed and they said they didn't see a scar ,had blood tests done no lukiema and paid 4 vacs but not sure if i should tramatize her with this surgery at least not until she gets adapted to her new enviroment
