I rescued a little kitten living in the wild and it was poorly. Took itto the vets who said it had cat flu. They sent it straight back to me with medication even though i also have its sister here and two other cats - one of them a very old persian. The ill kitten has got worse. It cannot open its eyes at all and looks like it may have swelling inside. It has also today developed rasping breathing and im worried it may have pneumonia. Whats the prognosis?

oh maggiebuck im afraid it doesnt sound good, id get the kitten straight back to a vets, at such a young age your little one could be fighting a loosing battle, i wish i could give you happier news, at least if worse comes to worse that kitty had love and comfort from you. i wish you luck with the little one.xxx
i had a cat with the same symptoms and it turned out to have cat aids, sadly she was put to sleep as there was nothing they could do, she was suffering to much and didnt even make a fuss bless her,
