I'm quite concerned about my cat. She had a temperature of 104, wouldn't eat or drink or days. The vet gave her an antobiotic jag which did nothing, and then a corticoid jag which managed to bring her temperature down. This apparently indicates it was a viral infection, I'm still waiting for blood results so I hope it's nothing too serious. She seems much better this evening and had eaten a small amount, but she keeps twitching involuntary every few minutes. I find it quite distressing to watch and keep thinking she's going to have a fit. She's going back to the vet tomorrow night for another jag but i'm so worried about the twitching. Do you think this is serious, or just a side effect?

how old is she, the twitching is most probably due to the temperature, My cat was very poorly with the same temperature, and she jurked her head, try cooling her with wiping a cold flannel on the pads of her paws, and please please keep her hydrated

I think you're right, the twitchiness died down a she recovered. I think it was just her body fighting off the infection. She's much better this week - what a relief!
