dementia in dogs

Is there any medication for dogs, my 13 yr. old retriever is showing signs of this, confusion, not sleeping at night, howling, its so upsetting to see this. Does anyone out there experience this.

My nephew's springer had similar symptoms and after many sleepless nights they took her to the vet. I don't know what the vet prescribed but it did the trick and they and the dog now get a good night's sleep.

since when was howling at night dementia? Your dog is calling out to sounds outside.....possibly a potential mate.

Thank you for your comment, we shall be taking her to the vets on friday, to discuss this matter.
