I have two cats that constantly groom themselves(as do most cats!) and are lovely and clean. What happens to all the dirt and fur that they lick? I know they can get fur balls but what about the dirt? Does it just come out the other end???

I don't know for certain what the answer is but your question just looked so lonely all on its own.

My long-haired lady cat licks herself - some is barfed up under my bed (where I can't reach) and some goes through her into the litter tray.

So, I suppose, the answer is it either comes back or it goes right through.
We have 3 cats, and they either throw up the furball, or if they have ingested less fur/dirt it comes out in their poo!
