2 year old female cat

Hi, i have a 2 year old female cat which i got off my daughter about 3 months ago, i also have another female cat who is 4, but why is it that the 2 year old goes around the house and licks everything, she licks the wall paper, the bed, the doors, is she putting her own scent about or is she just stupid. Thanks.

My mums cat always licks the walls, and one of mine licks any kind of plastic - book covers, packaging etc. I have no idea why they do it, but it doesn't seem to do them any harm - my mum's cat is 16 and has done it since he was a kitten.
