This might be something that your are looking for, easy to take care of and cute!
oh and let us know what you ended up with, my friend had a python, his vivarium was as big as one wall in his lounge, and he fed it live white mice about 5 or 6 of them a day, i dont know exactly how many.

sooooooo cute i was looking into a gecko my friend has a royal python and we watched her feeding tonight was awesome but i dont really have an urge to get a snake at all my 11 yr old daughter wants a lizard of some sort and i have played with the idea of a gecko for ages so maybe that will be ideal thanks suzie x

the only thing i will say about geckos is they are nocturnal so not really good for a childs bedroom as they will be active at night so any other ideas please????
your welcome lovey, pythons are hard to take care of, and a smaller reptile would be ideal for a young 11 year old. My girls want everything, but i decided on fish. simple option. good luck
Did you move back to London yet?

You crazy, crazy person; don't have those scary, could-be-dangerous creatures around the baby. How's the baby doing? Any teeth yet?
if its for a childs bedroom, then no, thats not a good option as they're more alert at night and poor kid wouldnt be able to get up for school. You can get smaller snakes, try popping in to a reptile store, we have two here in sheffield, and they have everything to snakes of all sizes, crocs, and tortoises, lizards of all shapes and sizes, alligators all sorts. google reptile stores and something may come up in your area
