I lost 2 last year one was 17 and the other was nearly 21!
well my first cat was 16
second (who i think may be dead, but he did return home a year after i last lost him) is about 17
i still have 2 moggies at 16 years old going strong
Many years ago I was told that the average life expectancy was 10-11 years, but that is balanced out by kittens dying young etc. However nowadays cat medical treatment has come on by leaps and bounds and 15 seems to be a fair age - mine of 10 and 11 are full of life and vigour still. My friend's cat was well over 20, and late teens seems to be not usual at all. Great news for catlovers!
I'd say 12-16 years.
I know one of 23 tho!
I think the world record is 36, but that must be exceptional.
some of the oriental cats, like Burmese will live a lot longer usually.

I have 2 burmese too and they are 16-17 and one is like a kitten still, her twin isnt quite so agile though, due to spinal problems.
Many years ago my first landlady in London had one of 34 years - it was still alive when I left
