Took Kiltie to the nursing home on Saturday

along with my black lab Jet, they were very well behaved!
Leah (the lady from whom I had the dog from) was so pleased that her dog had settled in just fine with my gang with no problems.
It was lovely to hear the stories the old folks were telling me as they stroked the doggies. Jet will stand any amount of fuss you want to give him, and a bit more, he'll nudge your hand when you stop!

It must make Leah feel so much better to know that Kiltie is fine and has lots of lovely new friends to play with. When my Mum was in a care home I used to take my dogs (I had two then) with me to visit her. It is surprising how elderly people respond so well to dogs. Some of them just changed completely in the dogs' company and started chatting and laughing where they were usually very quiet and serious.

Well done Mercia. Any photos?

Well besides being adorable, it was one of the reasons I took her so Leah could still have contact with her - they are very good nursing home in the fact that they know just how much pets mean/meant to their owners and as long as you phone them first, they don't mind, they say it makes the old folk feel better, and that can't be bad
