Hi
My cat has `Calici virus` which is a secondary infection. On taking her to the vets, noticed her gums were bleeding as well. She is on a two week antibiotic course and has to have a course of inflammatory drugs in form of liquid for her gums for a week. She has to go back in a weeks time to see if there is any improvement. Vet told us to give her soft food as her gums must be sore. Hopefully we will see an improvement in a weeks time otherwise she may have to have all her teeth taken out but this is only in extreme cases. She is looking fine and his eating but not as much as she normally does. She did actually have biscuits today. It can be contagious but we have checked our other two cats and they are ok.
