I Hope someone can give me some advice, My 20 year old cat had a fit last night, She has never had one before, I took her to the vets this morning and after checking her over, I was told that she has a lump in her small intestines, and that it could either be a tumour which the vet seems to think its not, OR a blockage, she tried to move it but couldn't, I have come home with Katalax and lactulose, and have an appointment booked tomorrow night, as she is old I will not let her be operated on and if she becomes worse then I have to take her back in, She is fine in her self and still active, but is sick if i give her to much food, Is there anything else that i can give her to make her pass it. Oh no!!...I was just reading this-and really hoping for the best ;-(
So very sorry-but you've given her a good life-and it sounds as if you were already mentally prepared to send her home to Rainbow Bridge.....she'll wait for you there. x
I am sorry to read your sad news, I like this poem.

Four Feet in Heaven
Your favorite chair is vacant now...
No eager purrs to greet me.
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me.
No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding.
I've put away your bowl, and all
The things you won't be needing;
But I will miss you little friend,
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought me,
The comfort and the pleasure.
And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow;
I'm sure there'll be a place for you
In Heaven's bright tomorrow...

Thanks all, I just picked her up, I made a wooden box yesterday as I wanted to be organised, My brother inlaw is going to bury her tonight. At least she went quick and she had a very happy life.
Aww josaphine32 I'm so sorry, it's so sad when a well loved pet dies. My two lovely boys have both died now and it's so hard to get over. Same as you tho I gave them the best life possible, it doesn't make it any easier tho, does it? x x
So sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved puddy tat Josaphine, they are part of our families and make their mark on our hearts..take care of yourself x
Oh Josaphine. I am so sorry to hear that. We can sympathise with you-we lost our darling persian two years ago with a tumour. It's so awful losing a dear pet.
Take care. Love and hugs for you xxxx
Sorry to hear your sad news, she was a great age and obviously had a very happy life. It's still very hard to lose a pet though, especially as she's been part of your life for so long. I'm sure you have wonderful memories, bless her xxxx

As I said in my previous post, your kitty was very lucky to have you. Not an easy decision but the right and unselfish one. Take care.
