RIP Cookie

Just got back from visiting the family and the neighbours told us that our lovely Cookie died at 1pm today. She was 21 years old (106 in cat years) and had a lovely life. Her back legs went this morning and then her breathing was laboured, but she just sat in her bed and went very peacefully.
We are going to bury her in the garden and plant a bush over her. Her sister is still going strong, so we still have one cat left.

What a nice peaceful and quick ending for the old lady. It's sad you have lost her and you will miss her, but she had a lovely long life. Bless her heart.

I suppose we should wish to go at 106, peacefully like that. I keep expecting her to come in the cat flap for her tea. She looks so peaceful in her bed.

Sleep tight Cookie. Our cat Ginn was 21 also when she left us, I know how you feel Carol.
Can I just say if you are thinking of burrying her in the garden please dig deep, I say this because the foxes dug our Ginn up twice because we didn't dig deep enough or make sure she's in an airtight container.

21 is a good age - and a peaceful death was a lovely end to a happy life. Her sister will miss her - if they were close. I am not sure if my two actually like each other.

Will be thinking of you and your family - especially your cat.

How sad I was to read about Cookie. I hope she'll meet our lovely ginger boy Russell wherever it is cats go on to. You gave her a good life with lots of love - it's all they need bless 'em. x
