What rubbish rabbit indeed. Its quite obviously a Gegill, very rare and unusual.

Keep feeding it Gill, as he/she is doing very well x

aww its well cute and grown quite a bit... no idea what it is though...looks like half rabbit half something else :)
It looks like an earless rabbit - I have no idea what it is, but it looks in good condition!
I would say a rabbit too. Could his ears have been cut off (like for dogs), or could it be a malformation? You said it didn't hop, but ran like a rat?
Has it left any tracks in your garden (I was thinking of 'poo' mostly)? Rabbits eat their own pellets, but so do some rodents. Once the 'food' has had a second go through their digestive tract, they then produce small, dark, hard pellets.

Safiya you are right it is doing well and has grown a little, it's quite friendly doesn't mind having it photo taken but as soon as you open the door it scoots! Haven't seen any droppings.......... and as it's raining here today not going for a look either - sorry
I would guess at a Rabbit with deformed Ears.........
Question Author
this guess came up last time but I am silly enough not to like this description and would much prefer a gentler happier name for it.

Josaphine32 - that would explain why we haven't seen it for 2 weeks it's been to Yorkshire - ee by gum!! Any more sitings UK wide then ?
I was convinced it was a baby rabbit first time round, but now I'm not so sure ! I'm with Safiya, looks like it might be crossed with somehting else, but goodness knows what.
Earless rabbis are a fairly common mutation and mother rabbits have been known to chew off ears of a baby if she stressed. Your cute 'critter' looks like a contender.
^'rabbits'
that's a rabbit with no ears
Question Author
well it does have ears but they are tiny, what is the purpose of the mother bunny chewing off the baby's ears, please can someone explain?
No idea, just know that they do it when stressed. Perhaps there is something about it on the web?
It was a rabbit last time, guess what? its still a rabbit! :-) xx
It's a rabbit.

Now it looks like an overgrown aquirrel, with no tail - but it's probably a rabbit with stunted ears.
Its a wonton!!!!! look http://wibbleyworld.b...ton-and-lunchbox.html

lottie posted the link in the minced pork thread in food and i recognised it immediately lol ;)
watch out for lofty, she 'll be trying to trap it and skin for wonton skins if you're not careful
