Moving cat
4 Answers
Hi - we're moving house this weekend to somewhere about 2 miles away. Question is: should we leave moggy in old house til last minute (in the bathroom so he doesnt escape), or move him in first (put him in a room there)?

If it's possible, try to leave him until everything is in place, if that isn't possible then make him 1 room that is escape proof & that is filled with familiar things that will be quiet & away from too much banging & crashing so that he will be calm.
We moved twice in one year - into a rented farmhouse inbetween homes - our cat is a feral that adopted us and lives outside (though comes in during the day). We took her on the final journey of each move, and she accepted things with no problem. Bosom pals with the dog, so I guess that helped. (moves were 10 miles away each time).
