will do, and having read the story of Warhorse, the real one, can safely say that our four legged friends are wonderful. Over 8 million horses killed in WW1, i still can't take that in. So yes will contribute.

I'll certainly be getting one. Does anyone remember the soldier and his dog who died on the same day in Afghanistan? Their bodies were brought home and the Soldier was buried in his home town and his dog's ashes were given to his family but the local council refused them permission to have his dog's ashes interred with him. I think that is appalling as both of them were heroes in my eyes, they had both saved the lives of other soldiers thanks to the work they did.

Yes that has always interested me.....8 milllion horses in WWI. So sad. There is a non-fiction book, "War Horse" recently pub. by an american author, nicely researched, focuses on training horses throughout history. I could only read a few chapters at a time, a riveting book.
