I have noticed cod liver oil capsules for dogs are much more expensive than those for humans. Is there any reason why they cannot have the same capsules as us?

My dogs also have had a cheapy human cod liver oil capsule every day and the shortest life of them was 13!! Actually, I knew someone who worked for a firm who made cod liver oil and he showed me two identical bottles with different labels - one for humans and one for dogs (much dearer) and he said it was exactly the same stuff in both bottles

what we do and indeed did with our last dog is give him a tin of sardines in olive oil once a week.it's oily fish anyway plus the olive oil is good for bones, coat etc. that is instead of paying for tablets.we never bothered with tablets and our last dog had a beautiful coat.him and our newer puppy just love the sardines.hope this may be of help.
Get the cod liver oil for horses at your local farm shop, its far far cheaper, we give it to our dogs.
