Dog follows dad EVERYWHERE

Its funny but also a bit of a pain!

Dad dosent really mind but im wondering if its behaviour we should stop?

Example....if dad gets up for a drink pablo follows him there and back!

We watched a film there and i had my feet on my dad, pablo stood scratching dads leg...basically cos he wanted me to move so he can sit with dad!!

Hes not agressive at all but i just wonder xx

The dogs just a bit insecure, and feels the need to be close to his "pack leader/alpha male", and as a female your lower in his pecking order than dad.

Hence he feels that anytime the alpha male moves, he may be left behind, and wants to support his alpha male/ stay with his pack.

Mine's the same. Can't remember when I last had a pee or a bath without the dog's gimlet eyes staring at me.

I've lost count of the number of times she's nearly tripped me up on the stairs as she's glued to my ankles, and also lost count of the number of times ive trodden on her paws by accident because she's stuck like glue to me. Even on the sofa, she's welded to the side of my knees.

He comes and lies with me or mum
Too but he is just in love with dad the wee soul!!

He got up and kicked me out the road with his paws to shuffle in between me and dad lol....

As i say we dont mind its not a bad thing as such for us i just wanted to make sure his wee mind wasnt doing overtime etc x

I think he is maby in a mood with us for going out last night for a few hours ....they dont half know how to tug the heart strings x

Brother in law was a haulage contractor and the dog went everywhere with him. If you were in the front seat of the lorry, the dog would edge over til he was almost pushing you out of the door. Lovely dog, but hated anyone in "his" territory.

Sorry but that alpha male, female lower stuff is outdated nonsense. Likelier is that Pablo feels a bit insecure and your dad makes him feel better.

My hound follows me eveywhere, lays on my feet when I sit down and kicks the bathroom door if he's shut out while I'm on the loo or in the bath. I remember stripping wallpaper from the hall wall a few years ago and he insisted on laying on my feet there as well, he was covered in bits of woodchip!
