No, you just need to eradicate the mice.
Ask an experimental geneticist...if you can find one. Short answer is yes of course you can stop them breeding.

Yes, mouse bait stops them breeding, it kills them.
The Australians tried to get a contraceptive pill for mice to keep the population down because of the infestations to crops but failed miserably and produced a very virulent substance that could very quickly kill everyone in the world!

So no I don't think you will find something.

Tourmaqn, that's a bit long winded for me, I don't have the time for that
As you have such a hectic lifestyle Gran I have condensed it for you...............

Mousepox carrier
The researchers, based in Canberra, Australia, were hoping to genetically engineer the mousepox virus to produce a contraceptive vaccine to control mouse populations. Instead they made the virus so virulent that it killed all of the mice in the experiment within nine days of them being injected.

Grandad XX
opening themselves up to lawsuits from the mouse community there, aren't they, Toureman? That sounds like a vaccine not really fit for purpose.
Wern't the Australians the same people who brought the rabbit world myxomatosis?
Uruguyans, really. The Australians gave the world the 2000-mile-long rabbit-proof fence. A mouseproof fence of similar proportions might do the trick.

Are we on to rabbits now? The myxoma virus led to a reduction of Australia’s rabbit population, I may be missing sumting,
Maybe miceamatosis is the answer?
Or cats?
The musical? It could bore them to death.
Beating them to death with cudgels would probably be more humane that giving them an ear bashing, I agree.
Andrew loydd webber would scare me for sure.

Ah you're all jokers, are you?

Why cant a _ BIrth ONTROL PILL_ be available to MICE?

control
'cos the mice can't be trusted to take it every night!!
Are mice dishonest by nature?
Ofcourse they can easily be sterilised by an ingested contraceptive. The trick is to get to all the mice and ensure they eat it.

If you mean as a solution for a mice/rat problem in the house.... it wouldn't work for long. They will still last for some time and as soon as they die some other ones which have not had access to your 'gift' will move in.
