Rats - glueboards. Help!

I'm at the end of my tether with "Rat-gate".
I've still had to luck with the traps, but Ratty is still coming in during the night.
Why is he not going for the traps I've laid out? There is no other food available for him, so I am so confused as to why he's not going for the bait (Peanut butter and chocolate). Four bloody traps! FOUR!!

Tonight I am using "the last resort".... glue boards.
I ordered two, which arrived today, but they are quite small. Wish I'd got twenty, now.
Where should I place them and, most importantly, do they work?

My plan is, to hang a bag full of a mixture of peanut butter, poison, glass and chocolate, on the kitchen drawer handle. This is where he grabbed a bag from before, so I know he can get to it.
Underneath, I was going to put one of the glue boards.
I figured if the mixture doesn't get him, the board will.

Will that work?

Sherr, once I've got rid of rastamouse (that's his new name, by the way) I will be getting as much as I can, to go outside, to stop any more from coming in.
Honestly, it's absolutely disgusting!

lol, Bristol is only about 100 miles away lol, I may pop round for a bowl of sugar if I run low :)

Ratter, sorry for all the questions, but I just wanted to ask you one more thing.
Should I put all the grain down in one pile, or separately around the kitchen and under the cupboards?

Wear rubber gloves else the rats will smell your scent on the containers and not go near.

Lol, the idea of our three Irish Wolfhounds chasing a rat around the house is hillarious! A proper demolition derby for sure!! Would make a great video! Good luck with the poison, flip! Ratter really does know his stuff, so I hope you will be able to report good news soon.

Flip, Put in a few different places where you know the rat visits, just make sure the rat has access to it. put the majority where you think the rat emerges.

I've taken away the traps, as they obviously weren't working.

Poison is all laid out now, and just waiting for Ratty to come and have a feast. I do hope he's hungry!

Good luck with the rat flip. I'm so very scared of mice and rats that my toes are curling and my fingers are tingling as I type this. I absolutely dread seeing one anywhere. I remember B00's visitor and I couldn't join the thread. A friend of mine bunged the holes in the walls etc with tinfoil to stop mice, but I suppose you'd need something stronger for a rat. RATTER has given you some good advice there.
