Why do dogs never learn?
7 Answers
I was walking my boxer through the town today when she went for a cat that was in an alcove. I never noticed the cat because there was a nice girl in a very tight pair of jeans across the road that caught my attention.
My dog has extensive experience of cats and what they can do. She keeps cornering my cat at home and wonders why she gets claws in her nose.
Today as I was ogling Miss Sexylegs in her jeans all I heard was a hiss, spit and then a yelp and my poor doggy-woggy emerged with claret spilling from her hooter and a rather defiant looking black cat in the corner.

My friend had a heinz/collie who had his nuts to the day that he died. He would start a fight with any male dog but never won one.
When recounting one of his battles to me my friend said that she thought that he was destined for doggie heaven when the other dog had Sandy's entire head in its mouth.
After one encounter too many she gave up and kept him on the lead...

My two Dobies, 48 & 43kgs respectively, show our Scabby Cat a lot of respect, we have a big old 3 seater settee at the back of the lounge which is for the dogs, however if the cat wants it he just jumps in between them and they just kind of slink off somewhere else and he has the whole 3 seater to himself.
He's just an optimist !
Some dogs do 'never learn'. My mother had a tiny papillon that lost an eye and got a broken rib, among other injuries, in fights which he always started with the Puli and other dogs in the house. To their credit, they tried to ignore him, but every once in a while his attacks got too much for the subject and got a response. In every other respect he was normal, but he would decide suddenly to start an argument just for the hell of it, as though thinking 'this time I'll win'.

Spikey - when will men ever learn that ogling young ladies with nice legs will only get them into trouble? ;-)
